Where your healing matters and you’re never alone in this journey.

Empowering young adults and millennial women to navigate trauma, burnout, and spiritual disconnection with compassion and care at Support To Heal.

Welcome To Support To Heal

I’m so glad you’re here. If you’ve landed on this page, chances are you’ve been carrying a lot — and carrying it for a long time. Maybe you’re the one everyone leans on. The high-achiever. The perfectionist. The strong friend who always shows up for others but silently wonders, “When will someone show up for me?” At Support To Heal, I hold space for exactly that version of you — the tired, anxious, high-functioning you who’s been doing everything “right” and still feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or quietly unraveling inside.

You don’t have to keep holding it all alone. You deserve a space that meets you with honesty, warmth, and genuine support. Therapy here is human-first, heart-forward, and rooted in compassion. I specialize in supporting young adults (18+) and millennial women navigating the emotional toll of trauma, identity loss, burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, and spiritual disconnection. Whether you're in a season of transition, questioning your faith, or slowly unlearning survival mode — this is your space to pause, reconnect, and begin again.

About The Founder

Hi, I’m Asia Ewell, a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant, Clinical Supervisor, and fellow human.

If you’ve landed here, you’re probably wondering whether I’m someone you can open up to. Whether you’ll feel seen here. Whether I’ll get it. Let me just say, I see you. And I get how hard it can be to carry so much while trying to keep it all together for everyone else.

I’m a therapist, yes, but I’m also someone who deeply understands what it feels like to be the strong one. The dependable one. The high-achiever who’s always “fine” on the outside but quietly falling apart inside. That tension, between holding it all and wanting to finally let some of it go is real. And you don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

I do this work because I believe healing happens in community, through real, non-judgmental, human connection. Because I know how powerful it is to be witnessed fully, messily, beautifully, without being pitied or made to feel “too much.” My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply honest. I don’t stay on the surface. I won’t sit back and nod while you do all the hard work alone. I’ll walk with you through the hard, the tender, the real,  and also the joy and laughter that make healing feel possible again.

This space is for the parts of you that are exhausted from pretending. For the version of you that wants to stop performing and start feeling. For the inner child in you who never felt fully safe. For the adult in you who’s finally wondering if life has to be this hard forever.

I’ve spent over a decade supporting young adults (18+), millennial women, families, and fellow therapists. I bring my clinical training into every session, but more importantly, I bring my full self. Human to human. Therapist to fellow traveler.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in relationship, in genuine connection. That’s what we’ll build here. Together. This is your space. This is your support to heal.

Individual Therapy

I provide virtual individual therapy for young adults (18+) and millennial women navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, identity loss, and faith-based wounds.

My approach is human-first, heart-forward, and deeply intentional. I work from a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatic lens — while also honoring the cultural, systemic, and historical factors that shape our lived experience.

I approach therapy through a culturally responsive and liberation-focused lens, understanding how systemic oppression, racism, and marginalization affect our mental health, sense of safety, and day-to-day functioning. I hold space for all of your identities, your resistance, your grief, and your brilliance.

This work is never about healing in isolation — it’s about healing in community.
It’s about rediscovering our voice, our identity, and our authentic selves — the parts of us that existed before the world, systems, and other oppressive factors harmed, silenced, or tried to change them.

I specialize in:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A powerful, research-based method for trauma recovery that helps reprocess distressing memories stored in the body

  • Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT): A structured therapy for reframing trauma-related thoughts and restoring emotional balance

  • Solution-Focused Therapy: A brief, goal-oriented approach that highlights your strengths and helps you create actionable change

  • Somatic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed work: Focusing on how trauma impacts your body, nervous system, and relationships — and helping you rebuild safety and connection from the inside out

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and affirming. Together, we’ll work to uncover what’s been holding you back — and move toward deeper healing, agency, and self-trust.

Parent Coaching and Consulting Services

I offer parent coaching and consulting services for caregivers seeking guidance and support.

My approach to parent work is grounded in attachment theory and positive behavior frameworks, helping you better understand your child’s emotional needs and create more connected, respectful relationships at home.

As a trained parent workshop facilitator, I support parents in learning how to:

  • Foster emotional regulation and resilience in their children

  • Navigate behavioral challenges with empathy and consistency

  • Build stronger, more attuned connections with their kids

I also offer consultation services for families whose children are struggling in school. Whether you're unsure how to advocate for your child’s needs or you're preparing for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meeting, I can help you:

  • Collaborate with schools to develop supportive, strengths-based plans

  • Understand your rights and options within the special education system

  • Attend school meetings with you as a clinical advocate

  • Promote your child’s growth both academically and emotionally

Whether you're navigating early childhood, adolescence, or somewhere in between, my goal is to help you feel more confident, informed, and supported in your parenting journey.

Clinical Supervision For MFTs

Supporting and mentoring the next generation of therapists is one of my greatest joys.

I offer clinical supervision for:

  • Marriage and Family Therapy Interns working toward licensure

  • Fully Licensed MFTs pursuing credentials as Board-Approved Supervisors

As a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor and an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor, I provide culturally conscious, trauma-informed, and empowerment-based supervision grounded in integrity, reflection, and growth. We’ll explore the “how” and the “who” behind your clinical work — helping you develop your voice, deepen your skill set, and hold space for clients in a way that honors who you are as a healer.

Sliding Scale Fees based on an Anti-Oppressive Rate Structure:

  • 🧠 MFT Intern Supervision: Starting at $50/hour

  • 🎓 Supervision for Licensed MFTs pursuing Supervisor Designation: Starting at $80/hour

Supervision with me is more than a box to check, it’s a relationship built on authenticity, transparency, and shared purpose.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about therapy and our services.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes, I currently accept Aetna and Cigna through Alma. If you're unsure whether I'm in-network, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help you figure it out.

I don’t see my insurance listed, can I still work with you using out-of-network benefits?

Absolutely. In many cases, clients can use their out-of-network benefits to work with me.

My out-of-network rate is $175 per session, and you'll be responsible for the full payment at the time of your appointment.

To make this easier, I use a platform called Thrizer that helps clients get reimbursed from their insurance, without you having to fill out a bunch of paperwork. They take care of submitting claims directly to your insurance company at no cost to you.

Just so you know: Thrizer is completely optional. I don’t benefit from it, it’s simply a tool to support your access to care.

How much will therapy cost with out-of-network benefits?

If you have out-of-network coverage, your insurance may reimburse you for 60–80% of the session fee, depending on your plan.

Thrizer has a reimbursement calculator that you can use here and it will give you an estimate of what your real cost would be before we even begin. And yes,  they’ll handle all the insurance paperwork for you.

Click here to use their reimbursement calculator and see your out-of-network benefis

How do I use my out-of-network benefits?

If you're using Thrizer, they’ll do it all for you. Easy.

If you’d prefer to manage it yourself, I’ll send you a superbill on the 1st of each month. You can upload it to your insurance company’s portal, and they’ll mail you a reimbursement check.

💡 Pro tip: Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?

  • Can I use it for telehealth sessions?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible?

  • How much of that deductible have I already met?

  • Do I need a referral?

  • What percentage will be reimbursed for CPT code 90834 (45-minute session) or 90837 (60-minute session)?

  • How do I submit claims?

  • How long does reimbursement take?

What if I can’t afford your full rate? Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes — I hold a limited number of sliding scale spots using an Anti-Oppressive Rate Structure. I believe therapy should be accessible, especially for those in marginalized communities who have historically been underserved.

If cost is a concern, don’t hesitate to reach out. If I’m unable to offer a reduced-rate spot, I’ll do my best to refer you to trusted, affordable providers in the area.

You can also explore in-network options at psychologytoday.com and lower-cost therapy through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective.

How Do I Determine My Sliding Scale Rate?

I use an Anti-Oppressive Rate Structure to offer more equitable access to care. Inspired by the Anti-Oppression Resource and Training Alliance, this model invites you to honestly reflect on your financial access and choose a rate that feels sustainable for you. It’s built on trust, not proof — and designed to make healing more accessible across our communities.

Sliding Scale Therapy Rates:

  • Redistribution Tier: $200/hour — for those with abundant financial access who want to contribute to community care

  • Full Cost Tier: $175/hour — the standard rate that reflects the full cost of services

  • Sustain Tier: $150/hour — for those with steady income but limited flexibility

  • Solidarity Tier: $125/hour — for those with less financial stability who still want consistent support

  • Reparations Tier: $100/hour — for those from historically marginalized communities with limited financial access

Self-Assessment Questions To Determine Your Rate

Answer each with Yes or No:

  • Are you and/or your family homeowners or landowners? (Not applicable for Native or Indigenous folks)

  • Are you able to consistently access and afford food?

  • Are you a U.S. Citizen?

  • Can you make minimum payments on bills or credit cards?

  • Have you been able to easily access and afford health insurance?

  • Do you have minimal debt or disposable income?

  • Do you have a financial safety net (e.g., financially stable family or friends)?

  • Is your housing stable and secure?

  • Does your income only support you and not others?

  • Have you inherited or expect to inherit property or money?

  • Was your degree funded without loans?

What's your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice:

  • Private pay clients will be charged your full session rate.

  • Insurance clients will be charged a $100 late cancellation fee (not billable to insurance).

This policy allows me to hold the container of therapy with care and consistency — for you and everyone I support.

Do you work with clients outside of Maryland?

Not at this time. I’m currently licensed in Maryland, which means you must be a Maryland resident for us to work together.

Do you see clients in person?

No, at this time I only offer virtual therapy sessions. All appointments are held via a secure video platform.

What if I’m not sure we’re the right fit?

That’s a great question — and one I fully support asking.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we’re a good match. You’ll get to:

  • Share a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy

  • Learn how I work and what to expect

  • Ask anything that’s on your mind

And if I’m not the right fit? I’ll happily help connect you to someone who is.

We’re a good fit — what happens next?

Once we decide to move forward, I’ll schedule your first session and send over intake forms and a secure video link.

What’s the first session like?

The first few sessions are about building safety and connection. No pressure to go deep right away — we move at your pace.

We’ll explore your story, your goals, and start gently naming the patterns and pain that brought you here. This is a space for honesty, reflection, and healing — with room for both the hard stuff and the hopeful stuff.
